DAY 3

Prayer for the kingdom of God to be enthroned in our lives.

“The former treatise have I made, O Theophilus, of all that Jesus began both to do and teach, Until the day in which he was taken up, after that he through the Holy Ghost had given commandments unto the apostles whom he had chosen: To whom also he shewed himself alive after his passion by many infallible proofs, being seen of them forty days, and speaking of the things pertaining to the kingdom of God. Acts 1:1-3”

In the forty days Jesus spent with the apostles after his resurrection, all he talked about with them was things pertaining to the kingdom of God. He did not talk about material acquisition or the things the world pursues, all that matters is the kingdom of God, if it is enthroned in our lives, material things will be added automatically to us.
The kingdom of God focuses solely on Jesus, ensuring HE ALONE IS ENTHRONED IN OUR LIVES, and we pursue after righteousness, not the love for this world, not love for money, not pursuit for fame/human recognition & accolades etc, all the things the people of the world seek/run after shall be added unto us. Matt 6:25-33.

PRAYER POINTS

Matt 6:25-33
  • Lord, I have prioritised the wrong things, I have not really sought you as I should, help me do the needful. Help me start to seek you and your righteousness. This year and the remaining days of my life, I choose Jesus again, I choose to exalt him above everything else in my life. I choose to magnify him above all. I choose to continually seek him like never before. Help me in Jesus’ name.

John 15:5
  • Lord, I realise I will not amount to anything without you, I will not fulfil my destiny without you, for without you I can do nothing, please help me to abide in you in the name of Jesus. I humbly receive grace to seek you like never before, to do your will, to love you then I will prevail in Jesus’ name.
Luke 9:18-24
  • Father, grant me the supernatural ability to take up my cross daily, deny myself and follow you. Many be the distractions that come my way but in the name of Jesus, I will not fail, I will not fall, I will not drift away, the enemy will not prevail over me, I will not give in to the whims of the flesh, I shall always stand strong in the spirit in the name of Jesus.

Matt 7:21

  • Lord, help me to do your will. Help me to be in the centre of your will. I will not draw up a plan and then ask you to bless it. Help me to seek out your will for my life and act on it, not my will in Jesus’ name.

 Heb 12:14, Matt 5:48
  • Father, I desire to be perfect like you, I desire to live in holiness, help me in the name of Jesus.

 Matt 7: 13-14
  • In the name of Jesus, I shall journey on the narrow path. In the name of Jesus, I shall be among the few that find this narrow path. I refuse to follow the multitude travelling on the broad way, which is an easier path, I choose the narrow path with all the sacrifices it comes with for the narrow path leads to life, I know I shall come out shining in the name of Jesus.

1 Tim 4:1
  • Father, help me not to depart from the faith, help me not to give heed to seducing spirits that draw men away from the godly path. I will not give in to doctrines of devils that corrupt the true doctrine of Christ. I will not buy in to convenient gospel in the name of Jesus. I stick with the ancient path, the truth of God’s word and nothing but the truth. I refuse to compromise my faith.

 John 15:20, 1 Cor 10:13
  • Lord, give me strength, bear me on eagle’s wings in the days of temptation so I will not compromise and fall. All the enemy doing is to draw me away from righteous living, from the secret place and from your presence but in the name of Jesus, I look on to you for succour, I hold tightly to you, I shall prevail in the name of Jesus.

Heb 12:1, Luke 9:62, Rom 8:38
  • I receive grace to run this race with patience and finish well. I will not look back and give up. No matter what the enemy bring my way, I will not give up. I refuse to be discouraged; I look solely to Jesus to help me continue even when everything fails. My eyes are on you Jesus, I will not draw back in Jesus’ name.

Ephesians 1:15-18
  • Father, equip me with the spirit of wisdom and revelation so I can know what you are doing or saying and have understanding in it and will then not walk or judge according to flesh. I will be able to discern between right and wrong. I will be empowered to walk in the spirit and please you.
  • Father, grant unto me the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Christ so my understanding is enlightened then I am accurate, I can align with God’s purpose, I can run with patience, I know when to speak, I know when to be quiet, I know when to run, I know when to walk, I know when to plant.

John 14:15, Luke 6:46-49
  • Father, I receive grace to be a doer of your word, I receive grace to obey your commandments. When I obey, my life will overflow with your blessings, you will arise to fight my battles, help me to follow you, do your will and live in obedience in Jesus’ name.
