DAY 2

Prayer of mercy and consecration 

If we say that we have fellowship with him and walk in darkness, we lie and do not the truth but if we walk in the light as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.

“If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 1 John 1:6-9”

“Behold the Lord’s hand is not shortened that it cannot save; neither his ear heavy that it cannot hear but your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you that he will not hear. For your hands are defiled with blood and your fingers with iniquity, your lips have spoken lies, your tongue hath muttered perverseness. Isaiah 59:1-3”

“If my people which are called by my name shall humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land. 2 Chronicles 7:14”

God will neither lower nor remove his standard of holiness for anyone therefore, to approach him, we must examine ourselves, repent, wash in the blood of Jesus and forsake all sins. 
We want to seek his face these seven days and hear from him so we will need to confess our sins, repent from them, consecrate ourselves unto Him and ask for mercy.

PRAYER POINTS 

Isaiah 6:5-7, Psalm 66:18, Psalm 51:9-10, Isaiah 1:10-18
 
  • Lord, I repent of all evil thoughts, every sinful action, attitudes, words, all forms of unrighteousness in me, forgive me and have mercy on me.
  • You are a God rich in mercy, have mercy on me. Purge me of all my sins, every bitterness I might harbour in me, every unforgiveness in me, every hatred, envy, jealousy, anger, backbiting, lust, every known and unknown sin, cleanse me with your blood and show me mercy. I renounce them all and forsake them by your grace.
  • Forgive me as I forgive others in Jesus’ name. 
  • Every careless word, I repent of them in the name of Jesus.
  • If I have taken anything unlawfully that is not mine, I repent and restore. Have mercy on me.
  • I repent of every form of disobedience and rebellious act; if I have joined others to commit evil, Lord please forgive me and have mercy on me. 

Jeremiah 17:10 
  • You search the hearts and try the reins to give every man according to his ways. Lord, search my hearts and cleanse me. If there be any unrighteousness in me, Lord, have mercy on me and help me confront my crooked ways, repent from them, forsake them and align my ways with yours.

Psalm 51:17 
  • You will not reject the sacrifices of a broken spirit. Lord, have mercy on me, purge my heart, cleanse it, let it be acceptable in your sight as I humble myself before you. 

1 Peter 1:15-16 
  • You are a holy God; and your standard remains the same, your eyes cannot behold iniquity, so I repent of all sin, every disregard for your ways, your instructions, and your word, forgive me O Lord and have mercy on me. I will obey you; I will follow you and I will do your will. 

2 Chronicles 7:14 
  • Lord, we confess our sins, we repent from it, we turn from all our wicked ways’, and we humble ourselves before you, forgive us, heal us, heal our homes, heal our children, heal our lands and be merciful unto us. 

Rev 3: 15-16 
  • Forgive every lukewarmness in me, I have not sought you as I should, I have gone my own way and done my own thing. Often, I have not made you the number one priority in my life, have mercy on me and restore me O Lord. Draw me unto yourself. 

Psalm 32:5, Psalm 51:1 -2 
  • Wash me thoroughly from all my sins and cleanse me. Have mercy on me, O Lord out of the abundance of your grace. 
 
2 Cor 6:17-18 
  • I have not separated myself completely unto you, I have not fully come out from among them. Forgive me and have mercy on me O Lord. 

Deuteronomy 30:6, Psalm 42:1-2 
  • Do a complete work of surgery on my heart O Lord, let my heart desire you only, let my heart pant after you only, let the desires for sin in me die a natural death, have mercy on me O Lord and let only Jesus’ reign in my heart in the name of Jesus.
